Write your own with the frame of good writing

Learn how good writing is built, then write your own with it.

Paste a model answer or upload a PDF. You learn the example, see the frame of each sentence and the job of each paragraph, then write your own sentences and paragraphs with the same structure. What stays is a structure you can use, not a text you memorised.

How Scripta works

Bring the material. Scripta prepares the practice.

  1. 1

    Add your material

Paste good writing or upload a PDF. No formatting work is required.

  2. 2

    Scripta prepares the text

It splits the text into paragraphs, sentences and meaning chunks, and prepares the task, each paragraph’s job and each sentence’s frame.

  3. 3

    Practise in three steps

Learn the example, see the structure, then write your own with the same structure. At the end of a text you write your own whole text, then take a timed exam on a new task. Grading checks whether you kept the structure, not whether you matched the original.

Learn the sentences, then write the paragraph

Each paragraph becomes a short run: learn a few of its sentences, then write the paragraph with your own story. The text map shows which paragraph and which sentence you are on, and Continue or Today picks up from there. Once every paragraph is done, you write the whole text as your own.

  • Each sentence: Learn the example → Structure (frame and technique) → My sentence
  • Each paragraph: Learn the example → Structure (the order of its jobs) → My paragraph
  • Each text: Learn the example → Text structure (what each paragraph does) → My text, then an exam on a new task

FAQ

Questions, answered

What is Scripta?

Scripta turns good writing into writing practice of your own. Add a model answer or an essay, and you practise it in three steps: study the example, see the frame of each sentence and the job of each paragraph, then write your own sentences and paragraphs with the same structure. At the end of a text you write your own whole text on the same task, then take a timed exam on a task you have not seen. What stays is a structure you can use, not a text you memorised.

What can I add?

Paste text or upload a PDF. No formatting work is needed — Scripta restores paragraph breaks that PDF extraction drops. A collection keeps related writing together, so one goal can hold many texts.

Can I use Scripta without credits?

Yes. You get 100 credits when you sign up, and even at zero the core loop keeps working — adding, splitting, and practising are never blocked. Credits are only for the work AI does for you. There is no subscription.

  • Adding texts, including PDFs
  • Splitting a text into paragraphs and sentences by rule
  • Step 1, studying the example: reading, copying, and writing from memory, unlimited repeats
  • Word hints and reading the target sentence again
  • Word-overlap grading, unlimited
  • Templates that arrive already prepared
  • Schedule, calendar, and study analytics

What do credits pay for?

Only the AI work. Credits are one-time packs, they stay with your account, and Scripta shows the cost before each action.

  • Preparing a text for study with AI, which writes the meaning cues and chunks: 4 credits per 2,000-character batch
  • Structure guide for a text (the task and each paragraph's job): 1 credit per text
  • A sentence frame for writing your own sentence: 1 credit per 4 frames
  • Meaning-based grading and correction: 1 credit per 4 sentences, per 3 paragraphs, or per whole text
  • Reading handwriting or a photo of your answer: 1 credit per 9 images

Can I start without bringing my own text?

Yes. Scripta includes 17 English texts from public-domain and openly licensed sources, each already structured with meaning cues in English, Korean, Japanese, and Spanish. Importing one costs nothing, so you can practise as soon as you sign in.

Is it for memorizing words or redoing problems?

Not really. Scripta is for writing you improve by writing it again. For spoken vocabulary, VoiceCards fits better; for problems you want to retry until they stick, ReviewNotes does.

Is my material private?

Your study room is visible only to your account. Scripta uses your material to prepare your practice, not to publish it, and does not sell your study data.

Where do I send feedback?

Write to scripta@willowinvt.com. Bugs, feature requests, and first impressions are all welcome.
